Kadampa Calendar 2017 - Deities of Dharma Protection
The 2017 Kadampa Calendar depicts beautiful images of the thirty-two Deities of the mandala of the Wisdom Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden. A Dharma Protector is an emanation of a Buddha or a Bodhisattva whose main functions are to avert the inner and outer obstacles that prevent practitioners from gaining spiritual realizations, and to arrange all the necessary conditions for their practice. The images imclude the Principal Dharma Protector Duldzin Dorje Shugden and remaining four lineages of Dorje Shugden, the nine Great Mothers, the eight Fully Ordained Monks and the ten Wrathful Deities, who each have a specific function of protecting and benefiting living beings. Also depicted are images of Amitabha, Je Tsongkhapa, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and the Kadampa Guru Deities: Buddha Shakyamuni, Avalokiteshvara and Tara.
