Audio recordings of Medicine Buddha Sadhana and Medicine Buddha Prayer. Medicine Buddha is a Buddha Doctor whose function is to release living beings from outer and inner sickness by bestowing blessings upon them. By relying on Medicine Buddha sincerely, we can be cured of heavy physical and mental disease, and find release from the internal pain of the three poisons: attachment, anger, and ignorance. The Medicine Buddha Sadhana is a method to accomplish the attainments of this enlightened being. Through engaging in this practice sincerely we receive a special power of body, speech, and mind, which we can then use to help others through healing actions, as presented in the Medicine Buddha Prayer. This CD includes periods of silence as recommended for meditation.

disappointedReview by Robin
There is no way to sample this album so you get what you get. It's basically crucial to have the Medicine Buddha booklets availble on the website to accompany these audios. The audios are in English and they are sung in sing-song fashion, not chanted, in one male and one female voice. It is off-putting - not at all engaging. Most importantly, if you wish to be walked through the meditation portion of the sadhana where you visualize the transcendant being(s), etc., you are out of luck. The longest track on this album is silent. They introduce the silent period letting you know that this portion of the sadhana is for you to do on your own and you will have 10 minutes of silence the next sing-song portion of the audio resumes. I hate to break it to the producers of this album, but if people had this stuff down, the meditation portion, there would be no need for this audio. (Posted on 12/8/2016)
