Stupa 2

The symbolic representation of Buddha’s mind. The various features of the stupa represent the stages of the path leading to enlightenment or aspects of the enlightened mind. A traditional Buddhist shrine or altar includes a statue or picture of Buddha (symbolizing Buddha’s body) in the centre; a Buddhist text (symbolizing Buddha’s speech) to Buddha’s right; and a stupa or picture of a stupa to Buddha’s left (symbolizing Buddha’s mind).
